WINDHOEK - The Bank Windhoek National Volleyball League 2012 continued last weekend on Saturday in the capital and in Grootfontein, with some strong performances between the competing teams.
In the Men’s League in Windhoek, DTS lost the first set against Rehoboth Volleyball Club (RHVC) in the first match of the day, but made a strong comeback to win the second and third sets, finally winning the match 3 – 1.
Khomas Nampol Volleyball Club (KNVC) and SKW battled it out in the second match with players such as Jason Nangolo and Joseph Amakali of KNVC giving SKW a tough time, but could not outperform the stellar defence by SKW players, Donald Doeseb and Rector Mbeha, who brought their team to victory, winning the match 3 – 2. In the third match, KNVC easily beat RHVC 3 – 0.
The last game of the Men’s League between DTS and SKW, took two hours and 17 minutes to conclude with SKW coming out victorious with a 3 – 2 win.

In the Ladies League in Grootfontein, the ladies in uniform, NDF, dominated the day by comfortably winning all sets in both their games against Oshikoto Police and Ondangwa-based KK Palace (KKP). DTS, who also won both their games, comfortably defeated Oshikoto Police 3 – 0, but faced a tough defense from KKP. DTS won the first set, while KKP won the second and third sets, but DTS eventually made a comeback in the fourth set, as well as the deciding set.
